The 3250 Series is a fully featured yet compact spectrum analyzer with outstanding performance. Four models cover frequency ranges up to 26.5 GHz:
- 3251 1 kHz to 3 GHz
- 3252 1 kHz to 8 GHz
- 3253 1 kHz to 13.2 GHz
- 3254 1 kHz to 26.5 GHz
Featuring four instruments in one, this is probably the only RF analyzer you will ever need to design, analyze, test and validate in today’s complex RF environments:
- Spectrum Analyzer
- Phase Noise Analyzer
- EMC Pre-compliance Analyzer
- Vector Analyzer

- Spurious emissions
- The following optional features:
- 3 GHz and 8 GHz tracking generator
- Pre-compliance EMI Receiver application
- internal A,B band pre-selection filters
- digital measurement applications for WLAN and Cellular
EMC Pre-compliance
Pre-compliance testing to CISPR, KN, EN and FCC standards; this optional feature enables you to pre-test EMI characteristics and rectify problems during development of electrical and electronic devices. You can also debug problems in advance of expensive compliance lab testing and save development time and cost.
Phase Noise Measurement
The 3250’s outstanding phase noise performance makes its phase noise measurement mode a really useful tool in establishing phase noise profiles of local oscillators and VCOs from offsets of 1 Hz to 10 MHz and beyond. You get the display and controls you would typically expect in a much more expensive dedicated phase noise analyzer.
Scalar Analysis
Use the optional 3 GHz or 8 GHz tracking generator to characterise amplifiers or filters. With a wide range of output level settings, it is possible to measure an amplifier’s frequency response versus gain and establish its 1 dB compression point. Multiple traces and extensive marker functions enable filters to be adjusted and characterised with precision.
