Problem:

How is the overall length determined on the Viavi 40G Cert copper testing? Each pair has a slightly different value.

Solution:

Each copper pair does have a slightly different length due to the twists in the copper wires. The overall length reported will be the shortest length measured among the pairs. This is per the TIA specification.
