MSAM USB Memory error
Knowledge Base - Solution
The MSAM bert module, installed in a version 1 6000A, shows an error stating that memory is less than the expected amount.
This error message indicates a problem with the 6000A Verison 1 extended memory that the MSAM uses to store configurations and test results. Turn off the BERT Module and power the unit down. Open the battery compartment by removing the facepate at the bottom of the rear of the unit. Remove the small form USB stick located in the corner. Power the 6000A on and put the USB on one of the mainframe's USB ports on the top of the testset. Go to SYSTEM and select EXPERT TOOLS and then MEDIA UTILITIES. Use the USB flash format button to reformat the USB. Once complete, power down and put the USB back in its slot in the battery compartment and then power the unit up and launch the bert module. If this does not clear the error or the USB will not format then the USB needs to be replaced.
