Micro-Replication
Replicating a micro-optic master into a polymer material.
VIAVI has capabilities for replicating a micro-optic master into a polymer material using a “cast-and-cure” approach that may be used as is or can be later used as a mask for etching, depending on the application requirements.
Our micro-replication process maintains the fidelity of the original master and provides the means to large volume manufacturing at reduced cost.
We routinely replicate from our resist, metal, and glass masters with a variety of depths (over 100 microns) and feature sizes (from submicron to several mm’s).
