Does the FMAE-MTP ribbon fiber inspection adapter inspect both male (alignment pins) and female (alignment holes) ribbon connectors?

Yes the FMAE-MTP adapter is used to test both male and female ribbon connectors. To inspect a ribbon fiber with guide pins (male), you will need a 2400-L or a lower power (2200 or 2080) fiber inspection scope. The standard 2400 scope does not provide adequate working distance to accommodate the guide pins.
