Problem:

Can the Viavi 40G Certifier be used to test Ethernet patch cords?

Solution:

The 40G Certifier can be used to test Ethernet patch cords using Patch Cord modules. Patch cord modules are category specific so the correct classification module should be used based on the classification of the patch cord to be tested. Channel adapters should not be used to test patch cords.
