Unable to Start Traffic Layer 2 5800/MSAM

Unable to Start Traffic on an Ethernet layer 2 test on the TB5800 or MSAM Bert Module (TB6000A/TB8000). The icon is grayed out and cannot be selected.

The unit will not allow traffic to be started until the link is established (solid link active green led). If the link is not active then check the auto negoatiation settings as that is the most common cause. If the circuit is optical it may also be necessary to check that the laser is on and the correct wavelength and fiber optic cables are being used.
